Going Ringside Ep. 55: Macho Men invade

NY Post columnist who wrote column on AEW vs. WWE free agency joins the show

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In 2022, Marvel Studios released the movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Well, you could argue the sequel has come to Going Ringside. Specifically “Macho Madness.”

Going Ringside has collected the top Macho Man Randy Savage impersonators from all over North America for one unprecedented interview. In this must-see segment, the Macho Men will discuss everything from Hulk Hogan to Miss Elizabeth to snapping into a Slim Jim.

The iconic wrestler whose real name was Randy Poffo passed away in 2011, but his character has lived on as one of the most popular wrestling costumes of all time. But some have taken it a step beyond a simple costume and developed what they refer to as “The Council of Macho.”

And that’s not all in this jam-packed episode. New York Post wrestling columnist Joseph Staszewski, who recently wrote the column “WWE needs to look in the mirror after AEW’s star-studded free agency haul,” joins this episode to discuss his article which drew a lot of global discussion from the wrestling universe.

And to round out the show we also have an author who just wrote a new wrestling book all about the passion of wrestling fans. Dr. Jeremy Housewright also joins the podcast to discuss his new book “For the Love of the Show: Pro Wrestling Fans Tell Their Stories.”
